OFFICIAL PRESS & PARTNERSHIP INFORMATION
THE MUG WITH A HIDDEN WORLD.
Mug Alive is a real ceramic coffee mug that reveals a digital experience through a smartphone. The mug stays physical. The hidden world appears on the phone. No dedicated app is required.
THE IDEA
AN EVERYDAY OBJECT WITH A SECOND LIFE.
Mug Alive begins as a useful, collectible ceramic mug. A smartphone reveals a browser-based digital layer connected to the printed artwork, adding motion and storytelling without replacing the physical object.
01Open
Access the experience on a recent smartphone. No dedicated application is required.
02Point
Aim the smartphone at the interactive artwork printed on the physical mug.
03Reveal
The hidden animation appears on the phone while the ceramic mug remains completely still.
WHY IT IS DIFFERENT
THE TECHNOLOGY DOES NOT REPLACE THE OBJECT.
The mug remains the product: useful, physical and giftable. The digital layer adds a private moment of discovery that makes the first use easier to demonstrate, share and remember.

THE FOUNDER
CREATED BY A PHYGITAL ARTIST.
Patrick Osinski is a French phygital artist and former advertising creative based in Brazil. His work explores the meeting point between physical objects, visual storytelling and digital experiences.
After developing interactive wall art, he created Mug Alive to apply the same logic to an everyday object: a real product that remains useful while carrying a second layer waiting to be revealed.
“I wanted to turn a familiar coffee mug into a doorway without taking away the simple pleasure of using the mug itself.”
